Phoenix School Gains Anti-Bullying Award
Over the past 12 months we have been working hard towards this Anti-Bullying accreditation as we are always looking for ways to implement and maintain a safe and supportive learning community, where bullying is not tolerated. We are really pleased to announce that we have managed to achieve this award. We are really proud of the efforts of the staff, pupils, governors and parents of Phoenix Community Primary School and would like to particuarly thank Mrs White and Mrs Davis, who have been instrumental in gaining this award.
Mrs White (SEND Officer) said, "At Phoenix we work hard to maintain a safe and supportive learning community where children are valued and respected. Children are able to show respect towards one another and understand the impact of the choices they make" and this is evident as you walk around the school and spend time with the children.
One of our school’s core values is that children and staff work in a pleasant and purposeful learning environment and this Anti-Bullying Accreditation is part of our ongoing commitment into review our practices to make sure that they are the best that they can be. We're really pleased that in our latest parental survey, there was not one parent who stated that we did not deal with any reports of bullying effectively and that there were no children who said that they did not feel safe at school. This is testament to the good relationships between staff, parents and pupils.
