Today, some of our Eco-Councillors attended the Green School Awards presentation ceremony, where we received a certificate for our efforts in improving biodiversity and recycling in our school over the last year.

We saw our Year 6s out in style.
Celebrating all the children that reached their Accelerated Reader Points Target.
Key Stage 2 really enjoyed their Rock Steady assembly.
Pupils from Years 3, 4 and 6 have worked hard in recent months, busily taking part in two engineering projects aimed at getting primary school children thinking about STEM careers. Year4 researched, designed and built their own battery-powered cars! The entire build was completed from scratch, learning to saw wood accurately and using strengthening techniques to add stability to its chassis. Eight children represented the school at the regional celebration event in Canterbury on June 25th 2025. They showed incredible resilience, determination and courage throughout the whole event. One team was even awarded the runners-up prize in the Engineering level 1 category! Every one of the children who took part were amazing ambassadors for Phoenix!
Our annual school Sports Day took place on 11th June.
Yesterday, the eco-council and school-council joined forces to complete a litter pick in our local community.
On Thursday 8th May, we celebrated VE day as a whole school.
Year 2 have been learning about habitats and food chains.
On Friday 25th April, the PTA organised a sponsored colour run. It was wonderful fun!!
