Phoenix School operates a breakfast club from 7.45am to 8.45am.
The breakfast club supervisor is Mrs Thomas. Our breakfast club assistants are Mrs Addington and occassionally Mrs Arnold and Mrs Hodges.
Children are offered a healthy and nutritious breakfast lovingly prepared by Mrs Thomas to give them the best possible start to their day in school. There are different choices on offer every day such as omelettes, muffins and the occasional bacon sandwich (don't tell the Healthy Schools team!). Also, toast and a variety of cereals are also available each day.
After they have eaten we organise a wide variety of activities to keep the children entertained while they let their breakfast properly digest. On most days this will include time for play and games on the field or playground.
The school uses some of it's Pupil Premium Funding to subsidise Breakfast Club and therefore we charge parents just £1 a day. This is incredibly good value when you consider that this includes the cost of staffing as well as the food.
Payments should be made in advance and if your child is absent on a particular day, no refunds can be given. If payments are not made, or are late, then their place may be withdrawn and offered to another child on the waiting list.
Should the breakfast club numbers increase too much, we will run a waiting list and any places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration forms can be downloaded here or collected from Mrs Davis or Miss Hattan at the school office.
