The School Day
Start of the school day
The school day normally starts at 8.40am when the gates are opened and children make their way around to their classrooms. Here they will find their teachers and teaching assistants ready to welcome them with some early morning work. Parents will always be able to speak to a member of the Senior Leadership Team on the gate. At 8.50am the gates are closed and the register is taken - children who arrive after this time will have to come through the school office.
Morning Playtimes
Children normally have a morning break from 10.30am to 10.50am where they can play with their friends (currently playtime is staggered over an extended period). Our playtimes are supervised by our staff to ensure that everyone has a fun and enjoyable time.
Lunch
Lunch break is normally between 11.45am and 1.15pm. Key Stage 1 children have their lunch from 11.45am and Key Stage 2 children have theirs from 12.20pm.
Our catering company provide a wide variety of good-quality food for the children and all our kitchen staff are also parents of children in our school - they are cooking for their own children as well as yours! Dietary requirements can easily be arranged and don't forget that all Key Stage 1 children have a free lunch!
End of the Day
At 3.15pm, the gates are opened and parents can start to walk up to collect their children from the playground when school finishes. Now is an opportune time to speak to staff but please be aware that they may not have long to speak as they will have other commitments such as meetings or clubs; teachers don't really finish work at 3.15pm!
