Team Phoenix Does Snowdon
We did it!
On Thursday 29th October, fifteen members of staff from Phoenix Community Primary School walked, climbed and scrambled their way up to the summit of Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales at 1,085 metres above sea level.
Team Snowdon: Vicky Murphy, Laura Uprichard, Hilary McGrath, Di Davis, Becky Hindle, Dena Bebell, Rachel Turner, Claire Sledger, Rachel Leavey, Sharon Penfold, Maxine Hills, Michelle Downey, Donna Rogers, Shaun King and James Tibbles
The purpose of our trek was to raise money for CLIC Sargent and, as of the 1st November, we have had over 100 donations and raised over £2500 for this incredible charity. There is still money coming in and it is not too late to donate:
- Text PHOE60 5 to 70070 to donate £5
- Visit our JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/teamphoenixchallenge/
- Donate in person at the school office or to any member of 'Team Phoenix'.
This was an incredible achievement and certainly not an easy one. Our thanks to all of 'Team Phoenix' and everyone who supported them: physically, financially and emotionally!
