On Thursday 8th October, the year 3 and 4 handball team, travelled to Highworth Grammar School to compete in an event alongside 20 other teams from schools around Ashford.

The victorious team: Eleanor B, Jack S, Logan M, Logan S, Lily C, Ayesha J and Nathan T

 

After winning their first 6 games, the team sadly lost narrowly in their semi-final, meaning a win in the final game would see a 3rd place finish and medals for the Phoenix team. Brilliant goalkeeping from Nathan, mature defending from Eleanor and Lily, in combination with great attacking play from Logan Senior, Logan McMullen, Ayesha and Jack ensured the team came out 2-0 winners and left with bronze medals around their necks.
