Since returning from the Christmas holiday, Breakfast Club has gone from strength to strength. We have record numbers of children attending and our PTA have been fantastic in supporting Mrs Penfold and Mrs Thomas every morning.

After the children have their breakfast, they can choose from a range of activities run by our PTA ladies.

Breakfast Club at Phoenix School is open from 7.45am each morning and costs just £1 as we subsidise the cost with our Pupil Premium Allocation.

This week, the Year 1 and Year 2 classes visited Pizza Express as part of their topic 'Yum Yum'. Here they learnt about the different ingredients and techniques that go into making a pizza and even had the opportunity to make one of their own which they could take home for tea that evening.

On Monday 2nd February, our Year 6 children joined five other primary schools at Highworth Grammar School in a celebration of music, dance and art as part of the Ashford Teaching Alliance's 'Achievement through the Arts' project. Given the enormous responsibility of opening the show, they coped admirably and did Phoenix School proud. They also had a fantastic time.

On Monday, Mr Garvey hosted the grand draw for Born to Shine 2015. Amongst the acts this year we have magicians, dancers, singers, Rock Band, African drummers and violinists so this is sure to be a show to remember.
